# OrderArmor shipping protection

**OrderArmor Shipping Protection** is a robust platform designed to empower merchants with the ability to offer self-funded shipping protection plans directly to their customers. This tool facilitates merchants in managing their own shipping protection services, which cover claims for packages that are damaged, lost, or stolen. Unlike traditional insurance services, OrderArmor does not act as an underwriter. Instead, all premiums collected by the merchant are retained entirely in the merchant's account, providing a direct financial buffer to handle claims, thereby enhancing customer trust and satisfaction.
