Connect with your audience: Add social media links to your shopify theme

Adding social media links to your Shopify store helps connect your brand with customers and can increase engagement. You can easily add social media icons in your store’s header, footer, or other sections via Shopify's theme customization settings.

Follow these steps to add social media links to your Shopify theme:

1. Access theme customization

   1. Log in to your Shopify Admin.

   2. Navigate to Online Store > Themes

   3. Find your active theme, and click Customize to open the theme editor.

2. Locate the social media settings Depending on your theme, there may be an option to add social media links directly from the theme settings.

   1. In the theme editor, look for Theme Settings in the left-hand sidebar.

   2. Click on Social Media (or similar, such as Header or Footer depending on where you want to add the links).

      
3. Add social media links You'll likely see fields to enter URLs for each social media platform (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.).

   1. Enter URLs for each platform: For example, if you want to link to your Instagram, input the full URL like https://www.instagram.com/yourusername/.

   2. Add icons for each social media platform: Most Shopify themes automatically display corresponding icons when you enter the URLs.

   3. Save changes after entering the links.
