# Static Content

* 1. **Description:**

     The Static Content block allows merchants to display fixed text or banners in the checkout page. This is useful for important messages such as shipping delays, promotions, return policies, or general notices. Unlike Dynamic Content, you do not need to create a block in the app—everything is managed directly in Shopify’s Checkout Customizer.

     **How to Use:**

     * Add the Static Content block from the available blocks.<br>

     **How to Enable:**

     * In the app, click the link to open Shopify’s Checkout Customizer.
     * Go into the store customizer<br>

     * Then you need to "add app block" and search extension "Line Item Edit & Upsell" and add it, also set the settings for this extension block and save button. **Check Screenshots**
     * Set the static text or banner message in the block settings.

     * Drag and adjust the position as needed.<br>
     * Click Save, and the content will appear on the checkout page.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://script-and-theory.gitbook.io/all-in-one-commerce-docs/checkout-blocks/blocks/static-content.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
